Trip to San Jose for CBIZ

Yesterday, Helen and I traveled to San Jose for an HR presentation. We heard lots of good jokes and received lots of good information. We arrived quite early due to Helen's above average driving skills. It took us 1 hour to get from Walnut Creek to San Jose (!). While we were trying to find our way, we passed by a really beautiful Catholic Church. You could tell it had been around for quite some time. We found a parking spot and headed for Starbucks to spend our Judi certificates since we were an hour early. While walking down the street, I noticed these manhole covers which were quire beautiful.

We decided to take a walk by the church because it was so pretty as we drove past. As we got nearer the church, I took a picture of the church from a distance. This gold building would be really bright if it wasn't overcast.

Walking toward the church, I noticed these boxes around the parking lot.

Beautiful marble flooring was outside of the church.

But the best thing of all was inside.

I must admit that I did edit the photo below, but it looks so much better!

We had lunch at the Capital Club, on the 17th floor of the Knight Ridder building.

This place was soooo fancy they had mouthwash and little cups in the ladies room.

What was so funny, is that later, Helen went to the ladies room and observed ladies who thought the mouthwash was soap! She said it would drip through their fingers. One lady said she thought it was soap, but realized her mistake as soon as she smelled the minty smell.

These are the CBIZ folks that Helen and I love to work with.

Helen and I had a great time and we learned so much!
